The Lebanon City Council has delayed a decision about stopping an annual $100,000 donation to Wilson County to help fund the Farm Bureau Expo Center during its July 7 meeting at Lebanon City Hall. City leaders sought to end the annual contribution after the Wilson County Commission passed a resolution June 15 that formally opposed potential Lebanon wastewater treatment plant sites outside of the city limits.
Lebanon to add girls volleyball league, increase basketball, football league fees
City increasing basketball, football league fees XAVIER SMITH Main Street Media The City of Lebanon plans to start its first youth girls volleyball league in the spring of 2027 and increase the current fees for its youth basketball and flag football leagues. The Lebanon City Council approved the creation of the volleyball league during its July 7 meeting. Lebanon Recreation Director William Porter said the league will be for girls in grades 3-8 of all experience levels.

Lebanon councilor hopes Hartsville Pike plans uplift city’s second ward
Lebanon Ward 2 City Councilor Geri Ashley said she hopes the Hartsville Pike Area Study brings much-needed change to her ward as the city held its most recent meeting on the study June 30 at Lebanon City Hall. The study aims to create a plan that outline the future desired characteristics of the area that was reshaped by the realignment of Hartsville Pike.
Lebanon sewer site search committee to identify willing sellers
The Lebanon Wastewater Site Search Committee will work with City of Lebanon leaders to identify willing property sellers after it reduced its list of potential properties to 12 during its June 29 meeting. The committee will recommend to the Lebanon City Council no less than three potential sites for a future wastewater treatment plant to replace the current 60-year-old plant on Hartmann Drive.
