BLOOMSBURG - A 9-11 remembrance is coming to Bloomsburg University. A firefighter who survived the World Trade Center attacks will help audiences remember through storytelling and music. Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg says "Behind the Lines: A 9/11 Story" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. in Carver Hall. The production tells the story of FDNY firefighter Bill Spade, the only survivor among 12 members of his company who responded to the terror attacks.

LEWISBURG - Pickleball continues to grow in popularity, drawing players of all ages for exercise, competition and social play. The Lewisburg YMCA says its September clinics are designed for both beginners and players looking to improve. Pickleball 101 introduces the game and teaches basic skills through four instructor-led sessions. Pickleball 102 helps players build on skills they already have. Both programs are led by PPR Certified Coach Galen Grant.

DANVILLE - In part two of our look at Pennsylvania's measles outbreak, Geisinger doctors say they are seeing the consequences in patients. Infectious disease specialist Dr. Stanley Martin says children have been hospitalized at Geisinger this year with measles complications, with some requiring intensive care. Dr. Martin says Pennsylvania has recorded 393 confirmed cases and two deaths this year. He says two doses of the MMR vaccine provide about 97 percent protection against measles.

SHAMOKIN - Two people were injured and multiple suspects were taken into custody after gunfire erupted in Shamokin's Fifth Ward around midnight. Northumberland County District Attorney Michael O'Donnell tells reporters, there is no immediate threat to the public. Police say two people, two homes and at least one vehicle were struck by gunfire. A witness told The News-Item he saw three men carrying guns and called 9-1-1.

Average gasoline prices in Pennsylvania have risen 4.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.20/g , according to GasBuddy's survey of 5,269 stations in Pennsylvania. Prices in Pennsylvania are unchanged versus a month ago and stand 91.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 1.4 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.570 per gallon.

SUNBURY - Democratic state House candidate Amber Neidig is pressing Republican Representative Mike Stender to take a public stand on a data center moratorium. Neidig is challenging Stender for the 108th District seat. Neidig says she wants a yes-or-no answer on whether Stender would support temporarily halting new data center development while its impacts are studied. She cites concerns about electricity costs, water use, grid reliability, land use and local communities.

DANVILLE - The Press Enterprise is reporting... Geisinger Acadia Behavioral Health Center wants the Montour County Coroner to stand down and stop talking about a patient's death. You'll remember the coroner and police are trying to investigate the death of a 31-year-old man at the Geisinger facility. Coroner Scott Lynn publicly complained Geisinger isn't cooperating with investigation. The Press Enterprise reports...Acadia is fighting subpoena's to protect confidentiality.

NORTHUMBERLAND - Several borough streets will have temporary no-parking restrictions beginning Tuesday as a road work project gets underway. Northumberland Borough says milling and paving will continue through September 11. Work includes Seventh Street between Orange and Prince streets, Orange Street between Park Avenue and Front Street, and Sheetz Avenue between Front and Second streets. Fifth Street between Hanover and Prince streets is also included.

SUNBURY - The Degenstein Community Library reminds residents that a library card offers much more than books. Library Director Melissa Rowse says September is Library Card Sign-Up Month nationwide. The library offers magazines, DVDs, audiobooks and digital access through Libby, along with programs for children and adults. Cardholders can also borrow museum passes, WiFi hotspots, activity bags and blood pressure cuffs. Library Card Sign-Up Month has been observed each September since 1987.

HARRISBURG - Measles cases continue climbing across central Pennsylvania, with Snyder and Northumberland counties among the local trouble spots. State health data now show 21 cases in Snyder County and seven in Northumberland County. Centre County has reached 15 cases, while Perry County has four and Dauphin and Lycoming counties each have three. Union County now has two cases, while Columbia County remains at one.
