It has been a great season for Bruins basketball on both the women’s and men’s sides. The players on both sides will be important parts of Bruin nation forever. The guys season ended in a tough loss to a solid ECS team in the region tournament. The Bruins just couldn’t get a shot to fall and the eagles capitalized. This team will not be remembered for this loss but for the fight they showed all season and their extremely talented senior class.

An opening date has not been announced, but construction has started on O’Reilly Auto Parts at 83 Chloe Place off Ridgecrest Road in Park Place West. The new 24,415-square-foot O’Reilly Auto Parts store will be the fourth in Jackson. The company has stores at 877 North Parkway, 3204 North Highland Avenue, and 1300 South Highland Avenue. JACKSON, Tenn. – Current weather conditions have caused a tight power supply situation, and TVA is asking all electric power consumers to reduce their use of electricity as much as possible beginning Thursday, 2/20, at 6 a.m. until further notice. The voluntary reduction is needed to help ensure a continued supply of power to essential services throughout the Tennessee Valley region and avoid interruptions in service.

An opening date has not been announced, but construction continues on Captain D’s at 73 Chloe Place in Park Place West. The 1,858-square-foot restaurant is being constructed on .09 acres near Jonathan’s Grille. Captain D’s is also located at 1761 South Highland Avenue.

No injuries have been reported, but the Jackson Fire Department and the Emergency Medical Service have responded to a fire at Rodeway Inn, 2239 Hollywood Drive.
