The winter solstice has passed, the presents are open, the gift wrap is discarded. You don’t have to buy anyone a gift for about six weeks, and you can keep your decorations up until at least Jan. 20.
Hello! Kiah here. Welcome to Fintech Takes Banking, my weekly newsletter where I highlight things I think are interesting or important for bankers and the surrounding environs. I spent most of last week in Austin for Workweek’s company retreat, but left early so I could miss the entirety of Winter Storm Fern. My house’s power was restored four hours before I landed back in town.
Welcome to Fintech Takes Banking, my weekly newsletter where I highlight things I think are interesting or important for bankers and the surrounding environs. You’ve maybe noticed I like writing about big themes in banking and connecting the dots, which means I don’t try to closely follow news stories when they break (that’s what podcasting is for).
Hello! Kiah here. Welcome to Fintech Takes Banking, my weekly newsletter where I highlight things I think are interesting or important for bankers and the surrounding environs. The end of the fourth quarter is looming, which means it’s a great time to write about one of the most important and strangest topics of the third quarter: credit quality. Was this email forwarded to you? Is credit quality at banks fine or worrisome? Credit quality is rightly an important issue at financial institutions.
Hello! Kiah here. Welcome to Fintech Takes Banking, my weekly newsletter where I highlight things I think are interesting or important for bankers and the surrounding environs. One thing I’ve learned about being a journalist is that the stories we tell ourselves matter. Stories shape our beliefs and actions; they determine how we view the world. That’s why I think it’s so important to try to get all the relevant facts and weigh their totality when we create our narratives.
