Brauninger also "heard" that Texas A&M will face off against the Purdue Boilermakers in an early-season midweek matchup in College Station. These games will come around the same time as the Bruce Bolt College Classic in Houston.

Hanshin Tigers star Shota Morishita reached a key milestone on Friday night, launching his 30th home run of the season against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. The Tigers went on to win the game, 4-1, improving to 62-47-1 on the year. Morishita took right-hander Kentaro Taira deep in the fourth inning at Yokohama Stadium, sending a slider into the left-field seats with a 110 mph exit velocity for a game-tying solo shot.

Cullen Scott is reclassifying to the 2027 high school class, according to Baseball Buzz on Instagram. Scott is a right-handed pitcher and third baseman from Texas who plays for Melissa High School.
