AEW has announced the company will celebrate 80 Years of the Rougeau Wrestling Dynasty at the Redemption pay-per-view, emanating from the Bell Centre in Montreal on July 26. The celebration is set to take place during the free Buy-In show. The Buy-In begins at 6:00 pm ET, with the main card starting at 7:00 pm ET.

Wrestleview recently had an opportunity to ask WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry a few questions courtesy of the predictions market experts at casino.org/us. Henry gave us his insight on his top three heels in pro wrestling and what works for them: Right now, I think Dominik [Mysterio] is great. AEW-wise, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is also great. I would also say that Fatal Influence are great villains. They’ve definitely entered the chat when it comes to people not liking them.

Current WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley was in attendance at Friday night’s Power Slap event. During a brief interview on the show, Ripley revealed she has a slight tear in her meniscus. “Yeah, I hurt my knee.I got a slight tear in my mensiscus, so it’s healing. It’s getting there. It’s getting stronger. I just can’t bend it very well.

According to a recent post from WrestleTix, WWE is reportedly concerned over lower-than expected ticket sales for its biggest show of the summer – SummerSlam. This will be the second year the event is held over two-nights. With less than a month away – and at the time of this writing, night one is currently at 22,069 tickets distributed and night is sitting at 23,809 distributed. WrestleTix also notes the current set-up for both nights is 29,535.

AEW has announced that Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s new weekly program MLP Mayhem, will stream for free in the United States and more than 100 countries around the world every Thursday, free after it airs on TSN in Canada. MLP Mayhem will make its weekly debut on TSN in Canada at Midnight ET on July 15. MLP now joins C4, Limitless, 1FW, PRODUCE, Warrior Wrestling, Create-a-Pro, and WrestlePro on the new MyAEW streaming service.

During the Friday episode of her Zelvx and Charlie Girl podcast, former NXT/WWE star Dakota Kai announced she and former NXT and NJPW star Karl Fredericks are officially engaged. Kai revealed the Fredericks proposed to her on the couple’s two-year anniversary. WWE released both Kai and Fredericks back on May 2, 2025. Fredericks wrestled in NXT as Eddy Thorpe.

Sheamus took to social media on Friday, to say goodbye to WWE. His post includes includes an Irish message which translates to “goodbye my WWE friends.” On social media, he is now going by S. Farrelly. It was reported last Sunday that Sheamus “swiftly rejected” a restructured contract with a reduction in pay and chose free agency instead of taking the new contract. The next day, Sheamus appeared on the alumni section of WWE’s website.

WWE Hall of Famer and AEW Broadcaster Jim Ross, revealed on the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast that he is scheduled to undergo brain surgery in the next week or so. “I feel pretty good. I think it’s getting, I’m getting better every day, but still got a ways to go. I can’t drive yet. All that stuff. I’m cutting back on my appearances. I got one big one coming up in Minneapolis in a few weeks. So, but I’m just battling, I’m getting ready to have another surgery, brain surgery this time.
