Trinidad and Tobago: A 45-year-old businessman was found dead at his home in Arima on Saturday, with several valuables including his iPhone, laptop, PlayStation and wallet were reported missing after a male visitor who had entered the house the previous night was seen leaving the residence after midnight. The incident took place at his residence in Trestrail Development, located behind Clever Heights in Arima, on Saturday, June 20.
Trinidad and Tobago: Warren Small, also known as ‘Quincy’ and ‘Blacks’, of Maracas, St Joseph, has been shot and killed, just weeks after being acquitted in a double murder case. The incident took place on Sunday, June 21 near Joseph Trace, Maracas, St. Joseph, just sixteen days after he was acquitted of a 2020 double murder and related firearms charges by the High Court.
Belize: Multiple employees from the Independence branch of Heritage Bank in Belize were rushed to the hospital following a serious traffic accident that occurred on Saturday, June 20. The Belize Police Department confirmed the accident and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding it.
Jamaica: A targeted security operation in Stony Hill, St Andrew, on Thursday, June 18, led to the arrest of four men and seizure of homemade firearms. The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed the operation and are officially questioning the men to determine whether to charge them or not.
Trinidad and Tobago: A birthday celebration turned deadly after gunfire broke out and left two men killed on early Friday morning, June 19, along Taylor Avenue, Quinam Road, Siparia. The local police officers have launched a manhunt and are investigating the double homicide. The first victim has been identified as 39-year-old Osei Packett, also known as “Danqua”, of Taylor Avenue but the identity of the second victim has not been revealed as the victim remains unidentified.
Trinidad & Tobago: Another tourist has been kidnapped and assaulted after the case of the abduction of the British tourists gained the attention in Trinidad and Tobago. In the new incident, a citizen of Venezuela was kidnapped in central Trinidad and police have now launched investigations into the matter.
Antigua and Barbuda: Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced a 15-member squad for its two-match ICC World Test Championship series against Sri Lanka, scheduled from June 25 to July 7 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Roston Chase has been chosen as the captain of the squad. Joshua da Silva, wicketkeeper-batter, who scored 996 runs across the last two seasons of the West Indies Championship is also set to return.
Saint Lucia: The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) has announced a multi-year global partnership with champions of the English Premier League, Arsenal Football Club as its official destination partner. The partnership will cover both Arsenal's men's and women's football teams.
Jamaica: Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has opened a new bridge in Spring Village, St. Catherine, built under the Government’s Accelerated Bridge Programme at a cost of about $250 million. Reportedly, this bridge is a replacement of a 150-year-old bridge, which was closed by the National Works Agency (NWA) in September 2022 after concerns about its structural integrity were raised.
Dominica: Seven major events have been announced for the summer season, featuring a mix of cultural celebrations, food, sports and water-based activities across the island. These events are scheduled to be held between June and August 2026, and take place across different communities on the island.
