Photography by Emily Tavernas Review by Kyra Papillo At a venue as intimate as Paradise Rock Club, you will always feel as if you were somehow a part of the show. There is something irreplaceable about the tight quarters of a small venue, the way the crowd trickles in slowly, buzzing with anticipation, and the way the stage sits close enough to make every glance and gesture feel real. The distance between the artist and audience becomes nonexistent, and that is when the show truly begins.
Photography by Owen Butler Review by Camille Morocco On April 30th, on a Thursday night, just before nine, a line of what appeared to be hundreds of fans traced the sidewalk of Boston’s Royale, waiting to get in and see Oklou’s sold-out set. Friendship has always been the fuel behind their music, and it’s easy to see how close Olivia and Avsha are when they play on stage.
Photography by Cooper Formica Interview by Alissa Doemling I had the privilege of speaking with Sir Chloe on April 24th about her latest record, “Swallow the Knife,” and learning more about her experience on the road a week into the spring leg of her “Forgiving Tour.” Alissa Doemling (AD): I attended your concert in Boston last week, and it was so much fun.
Photography by Deanna Petropoulos Review by Deanna Petropoulos Hailing from Bray, Ireland, Florence Road rocked a sold-out Roadrunner show this Saturday night as an opener for The Last Dinner Party. Over the course of their nine-song set, the band proved themselves to be a compelling rising act in the indie rock scene, balancing raw, guitar-driven instrumentation with emotional lyricism.
