The completion and handover of the Damang Water Supply System in the Tarkwa Municipality of Ghana's Western Region marks a transformative milestone for the Damang community. Funded through a partnership between the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation and World Vision Ghana, the project represents the successful realization of a shared vision: that every community deserves reliable access to safe, clean water.

A healthcare worker provides care to a patient at Al-Auja Health Clinic in the Jordan Valley. In the heart of the Jordan Valley, Al-Auja Health Clinic is a lifeline for the vulnerable families who live there. Over the past year, the clinic provided essential healthcare—maternal and child health, pregnancy follow-up, vaccinations, chronic disease management, and general medical consultations—through nearly 5,000 patient visits.

Refugee families in Meheba faced daily survival with no structured savings, financial planning, or path to sustainable income. Many sold goods informally, with no permanent trading space and no access to affordable credit.

For years, communities in Tawarodo and Manita in Makira/Ulawa Province have faced the growing impacts of climate change. Unpredictable weather, changing environmental conditions, and limited livelihood opportunities have challenged families' ability to provide food and income for their households, placing children's health, nutrition, and education at greater risk. Today, those same communities are writing a different story, one of resilience, innovation, and hope.

15-year-old Martha from Isoka District once faced an uncertain future. Many days, her family survived on only one meal. School felt difficult because her parents struggled to afford uniforms, learning materials, and other school needs. Access to clean water was another challenge. Martha and her siblings often went several days without bathing because the family walked long distances to collect water from a stream shared with animals.

When Mary,13, walks into her classroom at Chamba Primary School today, she does so with confidence. She sits alongside her classmates, eagerly takes part in lessons and enjoys playing with her friends during break time. For years, that simple routine felt out of reach. More than anything, Mary wanted to blend in like every other child of her age. Instead, she found herself standing out for a  medical condition she had no control over. Living with uncertainty Mary was born with an umbilical hernia.
