Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a 72-year-old man with dementia who went missing this week in the Tarzana area. Raoul Delatorre was last seen on foot around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 18200 block of Friar Street. He has not been heard from since, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Delatorre is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
PaliBu Health & Wellness Committee to Meet on Tuesday
Chair Diane Kale, a PaliBu Board Director with “Diane For Health,” leads the group, which brings together wellness and healing professionals. The PaliBu Chamber of Commerce’s Health & Wellness Committee will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday via Zoom. The session is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. PDT on July 21. The committee meets on the third Tuesday of every month.
Steve Choi Solo Exhibit Opens at ARCANE

Artist Stevie Choi will open a solo exhibition exploring kitemaking, sculpture and themes of growth and transition at ARCANE Space on Friday. Dogtown originated in the 1970s in the Venice and Santa Monica area, where skaters adapted surf styles into aggressive, street-oriented skateboarding. Dogtown Skateboards will mark its 50th anniversary with an art show and party at the Adler Smith Gallery on Aug. 1. The Santa Monica 12U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team has earned a berth in the National Championships after a season marked by strong play and dedication, organizers said. Police Chase Ends in Palisades After Man Jumps in Ocean Off Will Rogers Beach
When officers tried to speak with him, he fled on foot, ran past a lifeguard tower and jumped into the water. A man wanted on felony warrants was arrested Thursday after he jumped into the ocean off Will Rogers State Beach and swam for roughly 90 minutes to evade Los Angeles police. The Los Angeles Police Department said West LA division officers contacted the man around 7:20 a.m. for camping on the beach near Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard.
