That I should reserve some part of my heart from them? Then I read the C.S. Lewis novel Till we Have Faces. A retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Cupid and Psyche, the novel explores how love, when it becomes possessive and jealous, can prevent the beloved from flourishing.
