If you could give your younger writing self one piece of advice, what would it be? I grew up reading and writing fiction, but I decided along the way that there was no point in pursuing fiction as a career path because it was so difficult to get published. I stopped writing fiction for about fifteen years and became a writer and editor of nonfiction.
