The jury in the sexual abuse trial of Jerry Sandusky has returned guilty verdicts on 45 of 48 charges. The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for 21 hours. The former Penn State assistant football coach faces 442 years in prison, which means he could likely die behind bars. [He has not yet been sentenced.] Jason Carroll, on TV reporting for CNN, described Sandusky as staring straight ahead as each verdict was read. After the reading of the verdicts, a request by Sandusky's defense team to keep Sandusky on house arrest until his sentencing, to be scheduled within 90 days, was denied by the judge.
