Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President said she is not seeing a lot of evidence that interest rates are restraining the economy, and the US central bank may need to raise them to bring inflation down to its 2% goal. “We’ve got inflation that’s too high, and it’s been too high for the past five years,” Hammack said Tuesday during an interview on CNBC.
