This study prepared novel composite nanocoatings on titanium alloy implants consisting of biocompatible forms of HA, supplemented with nano-silver to enhance the antibacterial properties of the surface against S. sanguinis. The main findings were that all three silver plated groups (Ag, Ag?+?nHA, Ag?+?mHA) showed a strong antibacterial and antibiofilm activity, with the silver plated discs coated with nHA (Ag?+?nHA) performing best.
