Purification-based quantum error mitigation of pair-correlated electron simulations - Nature Physics
Abstract An important measure of the development of quantum computing platforms has been the simulation of increasingly complex physical systems. Before fault-tolerant quantum computing, robust error-mitigation strategies were necessary to continue this growth. Here, we validate recently introduced error-mitigation strategies that exploit the expectation that the ideal output of a quantum algorithm would be a pure state.
Formation of robust bound states of interacting microwave photons - Nature

Photons that propagate in vacuum do not interact with each other; however, many technological applications and the study of fundamental physics require interacting photons. Consequently, realizing quantum platforms with strong interactions between photons constitutes a major scientific goal10,11.

Adaptation of the polarimetric multi-spectral Aerosol Limb Imager for high altitude aircraft and satellite observations
Abstract An elegant breadboard prototype of the Aerosol Limb Imager (ALI) has been developed to meet key performance parameters that will meet requirements for the retrieval of aerosol from the upper troposphere and stratosphere from limb scattered sunlight radiance measurements.
Variability of Stratospheric Reactive Nitrogen and Ozone Related to the QBO
The stratospheric quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) dominates interannual variability of dynamical variables and trace constituents in the tropical stratosphere, and provides a natural experiment to test circulation-chemistry interactions. This work quantifies the relationships among ozone (O ), reactive nitrogen (NO ) and source gas N O, and their links to the QBO, based on satellite constituent measurements and meteorological data spanning 2005-2014 (over four QBO cycles).
