1 Introduction Volcano-generated tsunamis are infrequent but pose a serious hazard due to their potentially catastrophic impacts on nearby coasts. Historical cases include the 1883 Krakatau eruption (≈36,000 fatalities) (Simkin & Fiske, 1983), the 1888 Ritter Island collapse (R. Johnson, 1987; Ward & Day, 2003), the 2002 landslide-induced tsunamis in Stromboli (Tinti et al., 2005), and the 2018 Anak Krakatau failure that caused 437 deaths (Grilli et al., 2019).
A Numerical 3D‐2D Coupling Strategy for Simulating Landslide‐Generated Tsunamis in Complex Geometries: The Taan Fiord, Alaska, Case Study
1 Introduction Tsunamis generated by landslides represent a significant hazard, specifically in coastal, fjord, and lake environments, where submarine and subaerial mass movements can trigger destructive waves. Unlike tsunamis caused by seismic activity, landslide tsunamis often exhibit localized yet extremely high runups, representing very serious threats to nearby populations and infrastructures.

Objectives To evaluate clinical factors prior to methotrexate (MTX) treatment for tubal ectopic pregnancy, and to apply the data to a prediction model for treatment success. Methods This is a retrospective study of data recorded in a single tertiary medical centre during 2014-2022. Of 1,040 women with available data who presented with an ectopic pregnancy, 808 presented with a tubal ectopic pregnancy.
