The anatomy of past abrupt warmings recorded in Greenland ice - Nature Communications
Abstract Data availability and temporal resolution make it challenging to unravel the anatomy (duration and temporal phasing) of the Last Glacial abrupt climate changes. Here, we address these limitations by investigating the anatomy of abrupt changes using sub-decadal-scale records from Greenland ice cores. We highlight the absence of a systematic pattern in the anatomy of abrupt changes as recorded in different ice parameters.
Atopic dermatitis and educational attainment
Summary Atopic dermatitis (AD, often known as eczema) is a common skin disorder affecting up to 20% of children. However, our knowledge is incomplete for some long‐term effects of this condition such as educational attainment, meaning the level of education a person reaches at school, university or college. AD is usually visible, causes itching and sometimes sleeplessness, which may therefore impact on a person's education.

Mood disorders in dermatology consultations
Recent research has suggested that a significant number of patients with common skin diseases across Europe are clinically depressed and anxious. However, dermatologists are trained to diagnose skin diseases but are not necessarily trained in diagnosing and treating mental health concerns that might be triggered by their patients’ skin diseases.

Dermatologists across Europe underestimate depression and anxiety: results from 3635 dermatological consultations
It was recently demonstrated that a significant number of patients with common skin diseases across Europe are clinically depressed and anxious. Studies have shown that physicians not trained as psychiatrists underdiagnose depression. This has not been explored among dermatologists. To estimate the concordance between clinical assessment of depression and anxiety by a dermatologist and assessment with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).
Prevalence of skin disease in a population‐based sample of adults from five European countries
This study is based on a survey carried out by investigators with an interest in the epidemiology of skin disease based in 5 different European countries (Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden). Epidemiology is the ‘who, when and where’ of diseases, looking at who gets certain illnesses and why. This survey was designed to show the patterns of skin disease in these different regions.

Dynamic implications of discontinuous recrystallization in cold basal ice: Taylor Glacier, Antarctica
[1] Crystallographic investigations have been conducted of cold (−17°C) debris‐bearing ice from the base of an Antarctic outlet glacier (Taylor Glacier). The 4‐m‐thick sequence studied has been retrieved from a 20‐m‐long tunnel dug from the glacier snout and has been analyzed with an automatic ice fabric analyzer (AIFA).
Prevalence of skin disease in a population‐based sample of adults from five European countries
There is a lack of prevalence data on skin diseases in the general adult population; most studies have been carried out in small, national or consecutive clinical samples. To determine the prevalence of common skin disease in the general European population and to assess differences in the characteristics of treatment between countries.
Prevalence of skin disease in a population‐based sample of adults from five European countries
There is an astonishing lack of findings at a European population‐based level on the prevalence, diagnosis and treatment pathways related to the most common skin diseases. Accordingly, the present study undertook a standardized data collection across several European countries at a population level. The main objective of this paper was to assess the prevalence of the most common skin diseases in the general adult population in five European countries.
Methodological aspects of assessing hand eczema. Comparison of two tools and three different categories of evaluators
Hand eczema is a common and persistent disease 1 with a poor prognosis1-3. There is no accepted definition of hand eczema severity. However, the extent of hand eczema has been shown to be an important prognostic factor 1. Agner et al. applied HECSI (Hand Eczema Severity Index) as a measure of severity4. HECSI combines evaluation of the extent and the morphology of hand eczema. Meding et al.
