Utilizing Migdal-Eliashberg theory of superconductivity within the first-principles calculations, we work out the role of electron-phonon coupling (EPC) and anisotropic superconducting properties of a recently discovered [Baidya et al., Phys. Rev. B 104, 174510 (2021)] 2D van der Waals heterostructure comprising a single layer of MoS2 and few layers of NbSe2. We find strong EPC and a softening of phonon modes in the lowest acoustic branch.
Abstract The recent discovery of magnetic Weyl semimetal Co3Sn2S2 opens up new avenues for research into the interactions between topological orders, magnetism, and electronic correlations. Motivated by the observations of a large anomalous Hall effect because of large Berry curvature, we investigate another Berry curvature-induced phenomenon, namely the anomalous thermal Hall effect in Co3Sn2S2.
Abstract Nodal-line semimetals (NLSMs) support many exotic phenomena due to the unique torus-shaped Fermi surfaces in their band structure. We study the nonlinear responses of three-dimensional NLSMs in the presence of parallel dc electric and strong magnetic fields using the Boltzmann equation. At zero temperature, the second harmonic conductivity is found to exhibit 1/B-periodic quantum oscillations which are akin to the Shubnikov–de Haas (SdH) oscillations.
