flashes on the past partition, by tongue depressor/ gateway
FLASHES ON THE PAST PARTITION Tongue Depressor - “never saw’m” And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17–18 Gateway - “why should not my spirit be troubled” But Job answered and said, Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.

Two Variations for the Shadow of the Absolute, by Twig Harper
PV-22 Twig Harper’s second release of 2021 is a game-changing work of contemporary classical music. Consisting of two longform pieces, 'Two Variations for the Shadow of the Absolute' builds on the “classical electronics” of the Baltimore artist’s recent tape for Radical Documents, incorporating synthesized instrumentation and digitally manipulated studio recordings.

Body/Dilloway/Head, by Body/Dilloway/Head
This record is the most head-on excavation of temporal fallibility that I’ve heard in a very, very long time. Aaron Dilloway operates as a solo artist, but collaborates ceaselessly, whether as a former member of Wolf Eyes or in innumerable other contexts. Body/Head is the duo of Kim Gordon and Bill Nace. Nace has charted an iconoclastic trajectory as a freewheeling improviser and composer on his own and in group settings.

totalvibration's collection | Bandcamp
The stupidly prolific one-man post-black metal band has always had such a stylish aesthetic: austere artwork complemented by music that’s equally lush and harsh. So you take notice when the new album sports the Azerbaijani crescent and eight-pointed star on a rainbow flag. Savage blackgaze remains the backdrop, but underpinned by banjo, Auto-Tune and raver beats. www.vikingschoice.org/archive/vikings-choice-guide-to-bandcamp-friday-may-2021/
