No, but I’d love to use one.
How is social media changing news?
It’s definitely been changing how we get our daily dose of news. I strongly advocate cross checking any piece of information.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Jack of all trades, master of some—I believe.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer short (one- or two- lines or paragraphs) backed by data, especially if you’re making a bold claims. I reply when I want to know more
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter and LinkedIn. I’m not active on other platforms.
Who do you wish followed you?
I wish Steve Jobs read my work, for at least once. Maybe in another life.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write less. Read more.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
An agency nailed it with everything so neat—backed by data. Sadly I wasn’t in a position to cover, so I passed it to my colleagues.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I would abstain from calling out the agency publicly.
What's your favorite drink?
Depends on the time of the day.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Taking a nap, or munching.
