What was your first job as a journalist?
Not sure, but probably visiting a local school.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Nope.
How is social media changing news?
It makes it easier to source stories, but harder to keep an exclusive exclusive.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I don't have one.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Giving a voice to those who need it most.

There's far too many.

Email or Twitter DM.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Office, Social media, my phone, a pen, paper.

Why did you become a journalist?
As cliche as it sounds, I wanted to help give younger voices a chance to shine, and an outlet to speak from.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No. But I did create my own community magazine. It ran for 50ish issues.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Running a campaign which saw more than 100 defibrillators fitted in the Manchester Jewish community.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Push through the constant barriers and walls you'll find in front of you by (some of) the old guard.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time. My phone is always one!

Too many to tell.

Still waiting for that.
What's your favorite drink?
Soy blonde caramel latte from Starbucks.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With my wife and child!

Times/Times Redbox, Novara (depending on who is writing) and local newspapers.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That Jewish news isn't relevant.
