Amina Accram’s Biography

For 20 years Amina Accram was an instrumental figure in the South African broadcasting landscape based in Johannesburg. Her role as a senior economics reporter for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for both radio and television, exemplified her commitment to delivering insightful and knowledgeable information to her audience- Mainly the public. Her stories transcended across many platforms including, social media, other news channels and radio stations, and even becoming sources of information that academics and institutions frequently cited.

Amina was nominated for the prestigious 2005 Diageo Best Africa Business Journalist of the Year award. An achievement that showcases a beacon of journalism excellence in Africa. This award was a recognition to her dedication and hard work to stories she put in beyond the complex economic data.

Amina is passionate about journalist. She lives to tell stories and embraces challenges. She has built a solid network of contacts.
