Why did you become a journalist?
I was a reporter working on regular news and profiles. After Columbine happened, I decide that covering travel was a lot more rewarding.

Read the work of others. Practice. Write local. Practice. It gets easier!

Weekdays, during normal work hours

Any pitch that provides an unusual angle that makes me curious and then enables a visit is a winner
