With some sort of optionality -- not just a cut-and-dry topic that offers little flexibility.

Google Drive for organization, various statistics websites, Squarespace for publishing.

Why did you become a journalist?
To combine my passions of writing and sports.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes. I wrote about sports, with a focus on school sports for the print newspaper and professional sports for the website.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My overview of 2019 76ers Media Day, after covering the press conferences in what was my first time being a credentialed member of the media.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Try as many things as you can, whether it be subjects or styles, to ensure your writing scope is as wide-ranging as it can be.

My former boss pitching me the idea of covering the 76ers in person as credentialed media.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A friend pitching me on writing a feature story on them, despite their complete irrelevance within the 76ers universe.

School.
