This school year, students across New York will be riding cleaner, healthier electric buses. For too long, children and drivers on school buses powered by gasoline or diesel fuel have been exposed to dirty, unhealthy exhaust. So have the neighborhoods near bus routes and schools. This has made students, teachers and drivers susceptible to higher rates of asthma and other respiratory illnesses while contributing to local air pollution, noise pollution and climate change.
