Adama Juldeh Munu’s Biography

Adama's work has been featured on TRT World, Al Jazeera, OkayAfrica, The Afropean, Refinery 29, Amaka Studio, the Middle East Eye, The Voice Newspaper, the Huffington Post, Black Ballad, Gal-Dem, The Gumbo, Amaliah, the New Arab, Sisters Magazine and the Islam Channel, some of which are featured in this portfolio. A South London native of Sierra Leonean heritage, Adama currently produces features on race, politics, tech, social media trends, Middle Eastern/Muslim communities and African diaspora cultures for the 24-hour international news channel TRT World, and its African flagship show, Africa Matters. A 2020 FIPP & UPM Rising Stars in Media winner, she was nominated for a Media and Cultural Awareness Award at the 2020 British Muslim Awards, where she received a High Commendation Award. She was also shortlisted for the Media Achievement Award and Rising Star in Media Award at the 2022 and 2018 British Muslim Awards.
