Foxglove’s $15M Series A and the Missing Data Stack for Robotics
I’m happy to announce our $15M Series A funding led by Eclipse Ventures. It’s an exciting time for Foxglove – thousands of robotics engineers use our software, and our user base has grown by over 8x in the past 12 months alone! But before we jump into details, I want to spend a minute reflecting on our mission and why it is so important.
The importance of data visualization in robotics
Listen to this article When we think about robotics development, we often imagine a logical and codified process. While we don’t assume it to be easy or straightforward, we do assume it to be relatively objective – the end goal is obvious, the milestones to reach it measurable. But we forget that when developing new technologies, we need equally novel ways to test and troubleshoot these technologies.

How to cancel your Blue Apron account
Blue Apron has a stupid cancellation process. Their own help site states: To cancel your account, please email cancellations@blueapron.com by the “Changeable By” date reflected in your “Account Settings.” You will receive an email back with next steps to follow, so please read that email carefully. When you send an email to that address, you receive an automated reply: Why the completely unnecessary extra step? And why the unformatted markdown?
Store module is working only the control panel logged in members
I am new to the Store module. Store module is working only the Control Panel logged in members. If I'm not logged into the Control Panel, Side bar Cart is showing that: "Your cart is empty". When I click on Add to Cart it's not working either. It is working only when CP is logged in. How can I solve this? any Configuration settings please. I am using ExpressionEngine 2.6.1 and Store module is: 1.6.4
Intermitent failure of Call-backs from World Pay
Basically we keep getting call-back failures. I'd guess around 5% of orders or maybe slightly less all encounter the exact same error: Note, it rarely contains a transaction ID which is very strange in and of itself. World-Pay have insisted that everything is correct at their end and in the World-Pay settings. The only thing they weren't sure about was the call-back URL, which is set by the shopping cart module itself via it's call to WP.
Freemember error message
Make sure it is not being overwritten in the config.php file. At the bottom of the config file, the encryption key is declared as blank, so make sure the key is entered there, or below these lines of code /* |-------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Encryption Key |-------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | If you use the Encryption class or the Sessions class with encryption | enabled you MUST set an encryption key.
Show sold products report status only for paid orders in Expresso Store?
There isn't an option to filter the report directly. Your best option would be to export the report as CSV, and import it into Excel or another spreadsheet program, where you can filter and sort the data as necessary. Alternatively, you could go through and manually delete orders which aren't paid within a certain timeframe. That way they wouldn't affect your report data.
What types of product (add-on) support questions should be allowed?
This question is not about whether add-ons should be discussed on our Stack Exchange site (I think we probably all agree they should!). It is more about the type of questions. It seems like the push, at least on Stack Overflow, is for questions that are specifically about programming, would be likely to generate an answer that is of use to the community at large, and would have lasting value.
What's with the edit spam lately?
I had regular spam on one of my answers. I ended up locking that question so it couldn't be edited any longer. Are you seeing spam issues on a specific question/answer only? If so, post the link and I'll lock it down. StackExchange has a number of methods in place to keep spam down... Here are a couple older answers that give you an idea:
Bug reports as questions
I'm in two minds about this. While I realize Stack Exchange say these types of questions don't work, and from the start people have been clear they don't want to see bug reports or feature requests here, I've still yet to see what the actual problem is.
Is there a good way to make it easy for users to see questions about core versus addons?
One thing I've noticed during this beta is that I'm seeing a lot of questions related to addons, which I think is great, but also makes the site slightly less usable for those who try to run as close to stock as we can/don't use the very popular addons like structure. I'm a StackExchange newbie, so I was wondering if there are any facilities that would make it easy to provide an interface option for displaying questions pertaining just to core or including all the addon related questions as well?
Can you receive instant email notifications from Stack Exchange?
When you create a new question, just above the Post Your Question button, you should see: Would you like to have responses to your questions sent to you via email? You can click this link to change your email notification settings. You can also simply click the Stack Exchange link in the top left, then click email settings in the popup to show the same options. Here, you can choose to be emailed every 3 hours, every day, or every week.
Etiquette on answering questions by offering custom dev services
This does come up from time to time, in fact there's a bit of a saga related to self-promotion on Meta Stack Overflow. If your company has products that are directly related to the topic of the site, it's generally okay to recommend them if: You answer the question directly.
Free Shipping with the Australia Post Shipping Extension
I'm using Expresso Store with the "Australia Post Shipping" extension. Currently I'm attempting to order a single item with "Free Shipping" set, but it seems the Australia post extension is applying a shipping cost of $9.95 to the order. I was wondering if the calculator ignores "Free shipping" items when calculating a shipping total, or if I'm doing something wrong?
Orderby price doesn't work with dynamic parameters - {exp:store:search}
I'm trying to build some filtering into my store listing. The standard 'low to high' and 'high to low' kind of thing. Dynamic Parameters seemed like a good option http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/add-ons/channel/dynamic_parameters.html By using $_GET variables, I'm able to control the sort & orderby parameters. However, when I set ?orderby=price on my url, the filtering doesn't work. ?orderby=title works. ?sort=asc/desc works. Price seems to be the only thing that doesn't.
