2.4. Statistical Analysis In our study, we established an interval of five consecutive days to consider records of the same species in the same sampling unit as independent. This approach is indicated for occupancy analysis when the studied species have a low population density, larger home range than the sampled sites, and high mobility, which is common for larger mammals [77,84].
