Interview

What was your first job as a journalist?

Photojournalist in college.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I most certainly have. I love the sound, but the ergonomics are terrible.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Work hard. Work efficiently. And don't do this if you're not sure.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Anytime of the day or night. As a rule, a good story always beats sleep.
