Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I love learning about people's stories and felt that I had the ability to tell their story in a compelling way.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes! I was a Lifestyle Staff Writer.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I very proud of a long form feature I wrote on my favorite designers, Cynthia Rowley.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
The advice I can offer to aspiring journalists, is to never give up and to continue submitting, pitching, and more. Fatih is key.

The best pitch I ever got was to interview a cast member of This is Us.

There is never no bad pitch. I think of it as a topic that didn't catch my interest.

Cosmopolitan and a Latte in whole milk
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Out perusing in the city taking random photos of things out on the street that catch my attention.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Many feel that people I interview are just Internet personalities...which isn't true because there's so much more to them.
