At WFHB I like to cover sports that don't usually make the spotlight. I've currently written three articles covering the wrestling and rugby teams at Indiana University, and Beep Baseball of the NBBA.
Doesn't Cover:
While I like to cover and talk about sports, I also write transcripts of various CATS (Community Access Television Services) government meetings. If the topic interests me, then I'll absolutely write.

What was your first job as a journalist?
My first experience of being a journalist came from my internship with WFHB in Bloomington. I wrote and voiced my features to Bloomington
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I have never used a typewriter before, but it is a form of media that I'd someday like to explore.
How is social media changing news?
Social media allows people to access news quickly and stay informed in real time.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Ed Axley from Blue Chips
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
For stories to get the point, but to also be able to have a clear beginning middle and end.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter (X). Receiving important sport updates and being able to write about it the fastest is what I live for.
Who do you wish followed you?
I'd like the Indiana University Sports Media Instagram to feature and share my stories, helping me reach a broader audience.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist to shine a spotlight on overlooked sports and bring them the recognition they deserve.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked for my High School's Broadcasting team called Eagle TV 2.0. I created segments using Premeire Pro, and appeared on the morning show.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My Beep Baseball article is something that I can be proud of because it was a sport that I needed to learn to write a compelling story.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
As an aspiring journalist myself entering my senior year of college; try new things, go outside your comfort zone, and gain experience.
When's the best time to pitch you?
The best time to pitch me would be morning before noon, specifically between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
From the three articles I've writted for WFHB, Beep Baseball was the pitch that interested me the most, and I wanted to write about it.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I like to read player-profile publications, where you step into the mind of a player to understand not just their mindset, but the sport too.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That my beats are one-dimentional. I don't want to just talk about the sport in details, but the people as well. Players make the sport.
