Lauren Winslow, Aiden Rood, Natalie Finkelstein, Emily Boyle, and Brielle Lampf In recent years, people are slowly becoming more accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, or at least that’s what it seems like in our everyday lives. But when we look closely is when we begin to see what is really happening. Still, there is discrimination based on gender identify and sexual orientation, and the media is no exception. Television, books and music are no exception to the discriminatory based atmosphere.

As time changes and technology evolves, so do threats to student safety. Nowadays, potential school shooters can be found lurking on social media and leaving key traces of their future intent behind. However, it appears that the infamy granted to such individuals also incentivizes their inflammatory language. This phenomenon was put on full display earlier this year, as police responded quickly to threats posed against Cherry Hill High Schools East and West.
