Aileen Jacobson is an award-winning journalist who has covered the arts for many years. A long-time Newsday staffer, she now freelances for the New York Times and other publications. Earlier, she was a staff writer for the Washington Post’s Sunday magazine and worked for Time magazine in Atlanta.
Also a book author, she wrote “Women in Charge: Dilemmas of Women in Authority” and co-authored “The Consumer Reports Money Book.” She is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and studied at the University of Munich on a German Academic Exchange Scholarship.
