What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked as a sports writer for my Alma mater by writing for the on campus newspaper known as The Torch at St. John’s University.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, my mom had one when I was a toddler and I was so fascinated by it until AOL & computers took over.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
AirOps, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Surfer, Marcel, Tableau, Social Media, News Dashboard.
Who do you wish followed you?
Kobe Bryant before he passed away. Having insight from my idol on my work would’ve been a dream come true.
Why did you become a journalist?
Being that I was a horrible athlete growing up, sports journalism has been my outlet in covering a topic that I love.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be all in. Carry your work as if you’re having conversations with your family & friends and always be open to criticism.
What's your favorite drink?
Coconut Water, the Vita Coco brand to be exact! The absolute best & super refreshing.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On vacation fully disconnecting from all of my devices. Self-care matters.
