What was your first job as a journalist?
My first "official" job as a journalist is one I'm pursuing now as a Production Assistant at Fox Weather
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I tried to once at an interactive exhibit at the Old Parliament House in Canberra, but it was sadly out of ink!
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
At the moment I'm really enjoying the work by the young adult author Hanna Alkaf. Her style is nostalgic and is the perfect homesick remedy!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My drive for journalism started at the Longmeadow High School Jet Jotter. I was a senior when I began work as the managing editor!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Looking back, there are a lot of stories I'd like to edit. However, the one I'd change the least is my listicle on Aussie Cafes in NYC.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
A good journalist, in my opinion, is one who is never tired of learning new things. Report on all things - even if you're not initially sold
