Epitaxial-strain engineering of supported tensile noble metallene oxides for enhanced oxidation catalysis
Abstract Supported two-dimensional noble metal oxides (metallene oxides) hold great promise for heterogeneous catalysis owing to their maximized surface exposure and tunable electronic structures. However, their high surface energy and low oxidation potentials make them intrinsically unstable under reaction conditions. Here, we report an epitaxial strain strategy to stabilize and modulate the electronic structure of supported PtO2 metallene oxide.
Defect-engineered nonstoichiometric perovskite hosting high-activity PdO sites for enhanced hydrocarbon oxidation
Abstract Supported noble metal catalysts are central to industrial, environmental, and energy applications, yet precisely constructing active sites with optimized geometry remains a formidable challenge beyond conventional particle size control. Here, we introduce a perovskite-based surface defect engineering strategy that enables atomic-level regulation of noble metal active sites.

NOx reduction against sulfur poisoning by using Ce modified Cu-SAPO-34 catalysts
NOx reduction against sulfur poisoning by using Ce modified Cu-SAPO-34 catalysts Liumei Ge, Aiyong Wang, Xiaonan Hu, Jin Zhang, Jiebing He, Penglu Wang, Lupeng Han and Dengsong Zhang Abstract The problem of sulfur poisoning limits the application of Cu-SAPO-34 catalysts in the selective catalytic reduction of NOx by ammonia (NH3-SCR) reaction eliminating NOx emissions from diesel vehicles.
In Situ DRIFT Studies on N2O Formation over Cu-Functionalized Zeolites during Ammonia-SCR
In Situ DRIFT Studies on N2O Formation over Cu-Functionalized Zeolites during Ammonia-SCR Ghodsieh Isapour, Aiyong Wang, Joonsoo Han, Yingxin Feng, Henrik Grönbeck, Derek Creaser, Louise Olsson, Magnus Skoglundh and Hanna Härelind Abstract The influence of the zeolite framework structure on the formation of undesired by-products during ammonia-SCR of NOx is studied for three different copper-functionalized zeolite samples, namely Cu-SSZ-13 (CHA), Cu-ZSM-5 (MFI) and Cu-BEA (BEA).

Ambient temperature NO oxidation over Cr-based amorphous mixed oxide catalysts: effects from the second oxide components
Three series of Cr-based mixed oxides (Cr-Co, Cr-Fe, and Cr-Ni oxides) with high specific surface areas and amorphous textures were synthesized using a novel sol-gel method. These mixed oxides, in comparison to their pure metal oxide (CrOx, Co3O4, FeOx and NiO) counterparts, display enhanced performance for catalytic oxidation of low-concentration NO at room temperature. The best performing catalysts achieve 100% NO conversion for ~30 h of operation at a high space velocity of 45,000 ml g-1 h-1.
