The concept of the digital divide is based on inequalities in access to and use of the Internet. Different levels of this divide are defined according to the type of inequalities users have to overcome in the digital domain. The first level of the digital divide is usually defined as inequality of access to the Internet and information and communication technology (ICT) tools (Hargittai 1999; Rogers 2001; Warschauer 2004).
Abstract This article analyses how social class is associated with party preferences in today’s Hungary. I ask to what extent traditional class voting was present during the 2022 elections. Contrary to the classic pattern, my results show that negative class voting can be observed in Hungary, where left-wing parties are less popular amongst workers than amongst the middle classes.
