What was your first job as a journalist?
First time I was a journalist was for my Junior high school paper. First time I was paid I covered High school and Northwestern University.

Yes
How is social media changing news?
The has rapidly sped up the news cycle and made consumers involved in the news.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means I am able to tell stories that consumers want to hear and help tell stories that might not be told otherwise.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Grammarly and Word Press
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter because it gets right to the heart of the news and Instgram because the pictures are usually inspiring or happy.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to tell stories. Especially those that are not able to tell them themselves.

No...but I did in Junior high,
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Any story that is relayed that might not be in the mainstream news.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
To write as much as possible to build up your portfolio.

Tea
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Cooking, hiking, riding my bike or watching sports.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That Miami Hurricanes fans are not passionate, are indifferent or don't attend football games.
