Albert Serino’s Biography

Albert Serino is a Brooklyn painter who was born in 1953. The most common paintings in this painter’s collections are landscape, still life and portraiture. Serino’s painting style is influenced by Chinese landscape painting, surrealism, and North American folk art.
Serino does not consider his creative practice as an act of representation, but of transformation.

Serino is one of New York’s most important plein air painters. Serino has served as an instructor at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.

From the 1990s, he is painting full time and is conducting landscape painting classes and workshops.

Serino’s paintings have been presented numerous times on exhibitions in the USA and several times in Canada. Besides this, he has held a number of solo exhibitions.

Albert has received his BFA in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art. Previously the painter attended the State University of New York.
