What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means to live outside yourself. To tell the human story that connects us all in various ways. To be the watchdog society needs.

Straight up. Just tell me what you want and how you want it.

I use the publishing platform Medium to host content. I also use Photoshop, InDesign, Soundslides, iMovie, and various other multimedia tool.

Why did you become a journalist?
I am a journalist because I cannot imagine doing anything else. I love telling the stories that need to be heard.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I was told I would never be a journalist by the newspaper teacher.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Two stories. The first about Machismo culture in the gay Latino community. Second the trade of child porn on Instagram
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Not much since I am barely starting off myself. But I can say don't stop. Keep digging and uncovering the truth.
