Extractions of the non-perturbative, transverse momentum dependent (TMD) hadron's structure from experimental measurements of vector-boson spectra at hadron colliders are strongly influenced by correlations across boson's transverse momentum bins and by Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) effects, both from photon emission and from the photon-photon collision background.
We investigate the determination of non-perturbative QCD contributions, associated with proton's transverse structure, from high-precision experimental data for electroweak boson production at the LHC. We demonstrate that these determinations are strongly affected by correlated uncertainties across transverse-momentum bins in the region of low boson's transverse momenta.
