How is social media changing news?
In both good and bad ways. Many times we get news in an instant but then many times it's not completely in context and can cause knee jerks.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being honest and presenting the facts to your readers so they can draw their own conclusions.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Short email. Don't patronize or try and be overly flashy with your presentation. I don't have time to filter the fluff, get to the point.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Wordpress, Adobe Creative Suite, Windows PC, MacBooks, iPhones, Android phones, Sony cameras, Discord.

It used to be Google+ but since it is closing, I am leaning to Twitter.

Why did you become a journalist?
I've loved writing since I was in junior high. I was on my high school newspaper. I just love writing.

Yes. I was just a writer.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Report the truth. Don't try and skew a story by putting your own narrative on it. Let the people decide for themselves.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Monday - Wednesday between 6-4pm CST. I'd rather have less emails between Thursday and Sunday.

I honestly don't recall.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Asking for a paid review and that the review be positive no matter what I thought of the product.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Working on Techaeris, researching stories online, responding to emails and taking care of business.
