1 Introduction The architecture of many orogenic belts is characterized by nappe systems piled up against ancient blocks. In the Southern Brasília Orogen (SBO), product of an Ediacaran collision between São Francisco and Paranapanema paleocontinents, nappe systems are piled up against the western and southern margins of São Francisco Craton (SFC), formed during the assembly of West Gondwana (Figure 1A; Brito Neves et al. 1999; Campos Neto and Caby 2000; Trouw et al. 2000; Valeriano et al. 2008).

2.2. Study Design and Data Source This was a time-series analysis utilizing secondary data obtained from pharmaceutical claims of NSAIDs and analgesics prescribed by dental practitioners between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2021. The investigation was conducted in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, known as the second most populous state in the country, with a population of approximately 20.5 million people.
