Alexander Atamian’s Biography

Alexander S. Atamian was born in Hollywood, California, and raised in Glendale. He completed his studies at Glendale High School, where his early fascination with numbers and systems began to take shape. From his youth, he was drawn to the accounting structure and the logic behind financial processes. This steady curiosity guided him toward a professional life dedicated to accounting and finance.

After graduating from high school, Alexander attended the University of Southern California. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the Marshall School of Business. His time at USC provided a technical education and an introduction to essential business concepts that would later influence his professional decisions. The balance of academic knowledge and practical training gave him the foundation and confidence to begin building a career in one of the most competitive industries.

Alexander’s first professional step was with PricewaterhouseCoopers. At PwC, one of the Big Four accounting firms, he worked in an environment known for its demanding pace and strict standards. His responsibilities included external audits, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance for clients ranging from mid-sized to large Fortune 500 companies. During three years at PwC, he gained firsthand knowledge of complex financial systems, sharpening his ability to analyze and report accurately. These experiences shaped his disciplined approach and deepened his understanding of the importance of compliance and financial integrity.

After PwC, Alexander Atamian moved into the private sector. At Toyota Motor Sales, he handled general ledger closings and prepared financial statements for a division with revenues of $14.6 billion. He also worked closely with PwC auditors, allowing him to experience financial reviews from both internal and external sides. This perspective strengthened his ability to see the bigger picture in accounting operations.

He later joined Singer, Burke & Company as a Principal, where his responsibilities included audits, reviews, and business planning. The position required technical accuracy and strategic thinking. Before this, as Internal Audit Manager at Time Warner, he audited multiple divisions to confirm compliance with internal procedures and outside regulations. Both positions expanded his expertise in internal controls and business oversight.

At Toyota Financial Services, Alexander managed treasury accounting, oversaw $8 billion in investments, and supervised $100 billion in debt management. His duties also included SEC filings, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, and process improvements. Later, as Controller at Toyota Financial Securities Services, he directed the month-end closing process, supervised teams of accountants, and introduced internal controls that cut operating expenses by 15%. These results demonstrated his ability to improve systems and lead teams toward efficiency and accuracy.

His career advanced further when he became Vice President of Finance at MUSA Auto Finance. In this role, he was responsible for corporate finance, forecasting, and financial planning. His leadership contributed to a 25% increase in company profits. He also created forecasting tools, guided tax and audit processes, and developed strong relationships with banks and external partners. At MUSA, Alexander showed how financial leadership could directly support company growth and profitability.

Today, Alexander serves as a Senior Consultant at Toyota Financial Services. His work includes technical accounting, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and tax planning. He works closely with executive management to ensure results are communicated clearly and aligned with business goals. He is recognized for his calm leadership and ability to explain complex matters practically. His steady guidance and focus on accuracy continue to support the organizations he serves.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Alexander holds several licenses. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Real Estate Broker’s License, a Life and Property & Casualty Insurance License, and a Mortgage Loan Originator License. His technical expertise extends to platforms such as SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Hyperion Essbase, Power BI, and SmartView. These tools have enabled him to improve compliance, streamline processes, and strengthen reporting functions.

Outside of work, Alexander values personal wellness and integrity. He is committed to fitness, anti-aging practices, and a healthy lifestyle that supports his productivity and focus. Christian values guide his professional and personal life, shaping his approach to fairness and honesty. In 2017, he relocated from Redondo Beach, California, to Frisco, Texas, where he became part of a growing business community while creating balance in his personal life.

Philanthropy has been an essential part of Alexander’s journey. For many years, he has supported organizations such as the ASPCA, Shriners Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Samaritan’s Purse. His giving reflects a steady commitment to helping others, guided by compassion rather than recognition.

Alexander Atamian has demonstrated consistency, integrity, and focus through each stage of his career. From PwC to Toyota to MUSA, he has strengthened financial systems, guided compliance, reduced costs, and increased profits. His career reflects technical expertise, a commitment to results, and a dedication to the values that guide his life.
