Alfonso Kennard
Alfonso Kennard’s Biography
Alfonso Kennard’s story is one of reinvention and purpose, defined by his journey from a decorated legal career to a life centered on inspiration, mentorship, and spiritual growth. As an author, motivational speaker, and thought leader, he now dedicates his time to helping others discover fulfillment through authenticity and resilience. His initiatives, SoulFull Motivation + Ministry and its platforms SoulAwake and Remoralize, reflect his commitment to empowering individuals to live more meaningful and grounded lives.
Before embracing this mission, Alfonso spent over two decades practicing law at the highest levels. A highly respected trial lawyer, he earned an AV rating and was named a Super Lawyer, achievements that placed him among the nation’s most accomplished attorneys. His reputation extended even further when he was listed among the Top 100 National Trial Lawyers in the United States. After a decade representing major corporations, he founded his own law firm, which he successfully led for 13 years. Despite this success, he realized the victories that once drove him no longer fulfilled his deeper purpose.
That realization marked a turning point. Alfonso deliberately chose to retire from law and redirect his energy toward a more human-centered calling. The same focus that once powered his courtroom success now fuels his passion for guiding others through personal growth, leadership challenges, and recovery. Once he pursued justice for clients, he sought to help people find peace, purpose, and faith.
Alfonso brings a unique blend of clarity and humility in his speaking and writing. He often explores how strength and empathy can coexist in leadership and life, encouraging audiences to look beyond surface success. His podcast, NoBullChat, extends this message, featuring honest conversations about transformation, integrity, and the human experience. Through open dialogue and personal storytelling, he invites others to confront discomfort and pursue authentic growth.
Mentorship remains a central part of his legacy. Alfonso has mentored entrepreneurs through the Stanford Graduate School of Business Latino Business Action Network (LBAN), where he guided emerging leaders through the challenges of innovation and sustainability. His mentorship philosophy blends practical wisdom with compassion, helping people balance business and personal challenges. He also supports fellow legal professionals who face struggles with addiction, burnout, or trauma. As a recovered alcoholic, he shares his experience openly to remind others that recovery and renewal are always possible.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Alfonso finds meaning in family and community involvement. A devoted father, he actively participates in his children’s activities, coaching their teams and supporting school sports programs. His engagement with youth athletics extends into mentorship and philanthropy, reinforcing his belief in giving back. When not mentoring or speaking, he enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his children and two dogs, and practicing mindfulness, simple joys that help him stay grounded in gratitude.
For Alfonso Kennard Jr, leadership has evolved far beyond the courtroom or the boardroom. His life demonstrates that actual influence comes not from titles but from service and sincerity. His ongoing work reminds others that reinvention does not erase the past; it gives it a new purpose. Through resilience, compassion, and authenticity, he continues to embody a profound lesson: growth begins when one dares to change direction and lead from the heart.
