Assessment of Moisture Distribution Through Rough Rice Kernel During a Combined Hot Air and Far Infrared Drying
1 Introduction Paddy rice is a staple food for a large proportion of the global population, particularly in developing regions, where postharvest drying plays a decisive role in preserving grain quality and reducing losses (FAO 2026). Moisture content management during drying is critical, as improper drying conditions can lead to fissure formation, reduced head rice yield, and inferior milling and physicochemical quality (Davari et al. 2025; Zhang et al. 2026).
Postbiotics as Emerging Therapeutics for Skin Wound Healing and Dermatological Care: Clinical Trends and Mechanistic Insights
1 Introduction Traditional wound healing methods, deeply rooted in various cultures, continue to be utilized alongside modern medical practices. A study in Turkey found that while a majority of participants employed modern first aid techniques for burns and wounds, a significant number still relied on traditional remedies learned from family elders [1].
The inducing effect of epidermal growth factor on acellular dermal matrix in a rat model of skin regeneration
Tissue engineering, a novel approach in dermatology, has resulted in the development of scaffolds as skin substitutes that have accelerated wound healing. The aim of the present study was to synthesise acellular dermal matrix (ADM) as a dermal alternative and assess the effect of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) on the proliferation and migration of seeded fibroblast cells. ADM from fresh, full-thickness human skin was developed and characterised.
The internal aqueous phase gelation improves the viability of probiotic cells in a double water/oil/water emulsion system
2.4.4 Effect of heat and pH The encapsulated and free samples (at neutral pH) were heated for 2 min at 20, 30, 50, 63, and 72°C and then cooled to 20°C. The count of samples was determined by the agar method (Section 2.2) (Soltani Lak et al., 2021). The influence of different pH values (i.e., 2, 3, and 6.5) on the bacteria viability for both encapsulated and free samples was determined based on the method of Sabikhi et al. (2010). pH was set by 0.1 N HCl and the sample was incubated for 1 h.
The occupiers who played us off against each other
TEHRAN- “It is clear as daylight that Bahrain islands have been part of the ‘Great Government’ from the time of ancient kings until now and sheikhs and the people of Bahrain under the rule of the ‘Great Government’ are enjoying a prosperous life and busy with serving the ‘Great Government’.
