Alisa Gumbs

Alisa Gumbs has two decades of experience as a multimedia business journalist—from editing breaking earnings announcements to writing feature profiles of successful CEOs, conducting video interviews with powerful executives, and moderating live panels on the issues facing professionals and entrepreneurs.

In her current position as executive managing editor of BLACK ENTERPRISE, she plays a critical role in the planning and execution of content across the company’s print, digital, events, and video platforms. In addition to developing content strategy, overseeing beat editors, and managing the contributors’ network, she is involved in the creation of digital series and branded campaigns and setting the editorial direction for the annual Women of Power, Women of Power TECH, and Entrepreneurs Summits. She also spearheads the company’s franchise for women entrepreneurs, serving as creator and host of the award-winning SistersInc. podcast.
