What was your first job as a journalist?
Interviewing local touring bands for my high school newspaper.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Reporters notebook first and foremost. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Otter.ai keep me organized.
Why did you become a journalist?
I've been writing stories since I can remember and I want to continue telling overlooked stories.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
In 2015 I partnered with Bio.com and The Paley Center to interview Anthony Bourdain and Conan O'Brien on the importance of making travel TV.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Start your own blog to tell the stories you want first. Stay organized with (back up copies) of your published work. Persist, above all.
