What was your first job as a journalist?
Front-page reporter at The Hustler—no, not that one—my college newspaper at Vanderbilt.

Sadly, no.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Henry Hackett from The Paper, and Miranda Priestly comes in at a close second!
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be curious of everything and to want to tell everybody about it.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email is best, but a follow-up call is an appreciated reminder.
What's your favorite social network?
It's a tie between Instagram and Pinterest.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime. However, seasonal pitches are best 2-4 months out.
